"don't worry about your food for tomorrow for the day will take care of itself."

So I'll just tell a good experience from this week and be off!

So we had a great lesson this week with a lady we found from our area book and she was asking a lot about baptism and really seems to be accepting the message well. She came to church with some members yesterday and it turns out that she knew one of them from two years ago and they are pretty good friends! So yesterday was great :) Not very epic, but it's fun to see the Spirit working with her.

One more experience. The members really get revelation for when we need things. We ran out of rice and it was Sunday so we couldn't buy any and we weren't going to have a very good dinner but a member just felt like she should buy us 10 kilos of rice...and gave it to us yesterday...If I remember correctly there is a scripture that says "don't worry about your food for tomorrow for the day will take care of itself." I testify of this in the name of Christ! The Bible is true! =D

The members invite us to dinner sometimes, but what we really want to do is talk about members feelings about member missionary work and help them make small plans that they can do pretty easily. Just giving them a base of how to do missionary work and helping them overcome their fears. There are lots of little things that anyone can do. Just talk to the missionaries!

Ok I love you! Talk to y9ou next week!
Love you Bye!!!

t I love cereal! haha. I really have come to love fruits and vegetables.

Hello! This week was wonderful!

It was actually terribly hard :P My companion helped me go a little deeper into how I think and find out a problem that I've had all throughout my mission with working with my companion. It was really painful to hear and think about but we talked for like 2 days really deeply about the things that I need to change and all sorts of stuff. I was very mentally exhausted after that, but I feel so much better now that I know what I should be doing and what weaknesses I need to work on and stuff. It was intense! He was just tearing into my bad parts and telling me very bluntly all the bad things that I was doing. But I asked him to do it that way so I'm really glad he did. And now I feel so much better! :P I love my companion so much!!! He's like my best friend in the mission. We have transfer calls tomorrow and I hope that he doesn't go (or I don't go). I'm not sure what's going to happen but I'm excited to see! This has been a really good fun transfer full of a lot or hard work :)

So, there is this cereal in Japan called Fruits Granola. I think it's actually not cereal but we drink it with milk and it's better than any cereal they sell here. It's really expensive though. The only reason I wrote that is because Elder Omura told me to :P But I love cereal! haha. I really have come to love fruits and vegetables. Good stuff :)

So last year I got to go to the Ham Fighters Baseball game and we get to go next week too! If I'm still here. So I hope I'm here :P

Ok...and that's all that I can think of. Other than I love you! If you want to know anything just ask!
Ok love you!
Bye Bye!!!

I'm genki! (happy).mission experiences are helping him

Hello again!
It's a wonderful day here in Sapporo and I've been very good lately.
This last week has been a little tough (for some reason my companion and I have been pretty tired and worn out) but we're getting better I think. There's a lot of things to focus on lately being the Zone Leader and I'm not very good at balancing my time or goals, but I'm glad that I have to opportunity to learn! It's quite the journey! I was talking to my training over email and he mentioned to me that his mission experiences are helping him more than he expected and as he looks back he realized why he had all the experiences he did. It was nice to hear.
But I'm genki! (happy).

So...I lost my planner and I con't remember anything that happened this week. Oh wait!
We went with a ward member to visit his friend after church and he wasn't there, but then we went with him to visit some old potential investigators and we found a spanish guy and his friend who were really nice and want to talk again! Even though the member didn't get to visit his friend he really helped us get to a far out place and we were really blessed with good people to meet :)
Also, we helped pack up everything in the church after the meetings yesterday because it's going to be reformed! So we packed up a ton of stuff and we are going to a pretty far church for the next 3 months. Crazy! I'm excited though :)

Well, that's all that I can think of!
As for the gloves...I feel like I don't need that expensive of gloves...I'll tell you again if my hands start freezing again :P But thank you!
That's all for this week!

I love you!
Bye Bye!!!

faith is Action and Desire more than Belief and Knowledge

Dear Father and Mother. I really loved reading this weeks email for some reason. Made me very happy :) It's great to hear about everything going on down there.
Well, I've just forgotten everything I was going to comment on. i can't focus in the Honbu because there are too many good things going on. but I'll le tyou know about my week!

We met with two Chinese investigators and made a baptismal date with one of them this week! Then after that he gave me his Monsters Inc. stuffed animal (Sully) and now it's just sitting in the apartment. I will probably try to send it home soon :P
We also went to a Jazz Night at one of the wards with our other chinese investigator (they're both named Cho by the way :P). It was amazing though!!! It made me realize that I really do want to do something with Jazz after the mssion. I loved it!!!!!! LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We also did a Zone Training Meeting this week about talking about baptism and it turned out great!

Ok, now for something good I learned this week. I had an interview with Evan Kaicho and we were talking about faith and he put it very simply. He said, "I''ve come to find out that faith is Action and Desire more than Belief and Knowledge. It just clicked really well in my head. The mission can be tough sometimes but I wouldn't trade it for the world. The things I would lose are too great. I'm so grateful for the things that I'm learning and experiencing here. It's priceless.

Ok, lastly, I wanted to tell you Mom and Dad that I'm so grateful for your hard work and love and example. Amongst all the hard work and trials and stresses of your days you still stay strong in the gospel and help others ceaselessly. I've talked to many people who have left the church because they feel like too much is being asked of them, but thank you so much for being so strong in the gospel and giving your all to the Lord. I can't tell you how much your example means to me. It helps me to keep moving on during the hard times :) I really can't express myself well, but I want you to know how much I love you and I'm so excited to give you a really big hug when I get back home. I can't wait for that day :)
I can't believe there is only 6 months left...Yabai. But I'm going to live it to the fullest!
I'm so glad to be out here. Thank you for providing me with this experience :)
I love you so much.
I'll talk to you later!
Tell my sisters I love them too! and my Nieces and Nephews!
And if they want anything for Christmas let me know! You too!

Bye Bye!!!
With Love,

Elder Sotto :)
